HISTORIQUE DU LIEU, VISION ET PROSPECTIVE<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tib\u00e9riade est l\u2019un de trois lieux de vie de la Communaut\u00e9 du Chemin Neuf en C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire.\u00a0 Ce lieu paradisiaque d\u00fb \u00e0 la beaut\u00e9 de la v\u00e9g\u00e9tation et des eaux qui l\u2019entourent est situ\u00e9 sur la route c\u00f4ti\u00e8re, non loin de la ville de Grand-Lahou qui est \u00e0\u00a0une distance de 130 km d\u2019Abidjan. La ville de Grand-Lahou elle-m\u00eame est limit\u00e9e au nord par la commune de Guitry, \u00e0 l\u2019ouest par la commune de Fresco, \u00e0 l\u2019est par les communes de Dabou et de Jacqueville et au sud entre l\u2019oc\u00e9an atlantique et la lagune Tagba, la partie o\u00f9 Tib\u00e9riade est donc situ\u00e9. La communaut\u00e9 du Chemin Neuf a re\u00e7u ce lieu lors de la Pentec\u00f4te 1998 dans l\u2019id\u00e9e d\u2019ouvrir un centre de formation international en Afrique et le premier cycle A a d\u00e9but\u00e9 en 1999.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Plusieurs promotions ont suivi cette formation sur trois mois\u00a0: la formation th\u00e9ologique, biblique, la vie de pri\u00e8re et la vie fraternelle. Par manque de ressources, ce centre de formation a connu deux ans de pause de 2021 \u00e0 2023\u00a0; la r\u00e9ouverture s\u2019est faite en septembre de l\u2019ann\u00e9e derni\u00e8re avec une nouvelle \u00e9quipe communautaire et cinq jeunes en formation. Cette ann\u00e9e 2024, Tib\u00e9riade continue la formation avec une nouveaut\u00e9, une premi\u00e8re dans son histoire\u00a0: le cycle C. Les participants \u00e0 la formation dans ce Centre de Tib\u00e9riade feront une premi\u00e8re partie en trois mois (cycle A) et une deuxi\u00e8me partie en trois mois \u00e9galement (cycle C). Pour cette ann\u00e9e, il y a 18 participants \u00e0 cette premi\u00e8re partie, issus de 9 nationalit\u00e9s\u00a0: burkinab\u00e8, burundaise, congolaise, fran\u00e7aise, ivoirienne, malgache, tchadienne, ougandaise et rwandaise. L\u2019accueil de ces participants s\u2019est fait la semaine du 23 au 30 Septembre, et la formation elle-m\u00eame a d\u00e9but\u00e9 le 02 octobre. Une semaine type \u00e0 Tib\u00e9riade est rythm\u00e9e par diff\u00e9rents moments de vie ensemble\u00a0: temps de pri\u00e8re le matin, \u00e0 midi et le soir\u00a0; le temps d\u2019enseignement, repas, travaux, d\u00e9tente et le weekend, pour ceux qui le veulent, un petit tour aux villages d\u2019alentours\u00a0: Liboli, Tioko, … Un espace individuel est aussi donn\u00e9 pour permettre de creuser ce que le Seigneur met dans le c\u0153ur de chacun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Apr\u00e8s les deux ans de pause, Tib\u00e9riade se trouve donc \u00e0 nouveau dans une sorte de phase de \u00ab\u00a0Fondation\u00a0\u00bb\u00a0: nouvelle \u00e9quipe, nouvelle vision, nouvelle approche avec les villages voisins, nouvelle perspective. La vision pour aujourd\u2019hui est celle de former des \u00ab\u00a0Disciples \u00e0 la suite du Christ\u00a0\u00bb en communion avec l\u2019Eglise universelle et la fa\u00e7on communautaire de faire\u00a0; et \u00e0 cela donner une touche africaine aux enseignements dispens\u00e9s, \u00e0 la vie fraternelle avec la formule \u00ab\u00a0Ubuntu\u00a0\u00bb par exemple. Il y a aussi le souci de faire connaitre, partager et mettre en commun les cultures de chacun des participants pour qu\u2019enfin tous b\u00e9n\u00e9ficient d\u2019une formation int\u00e9grale dont le monde a tant besoin de nos jours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pour chercher \u00e0 valoriser l\u2019unit\u00e9 dans la diversit\u00e9, tout en gardant les diff\u00e9rences, la perspective d\u2019avenir serait celle de trouver des strat\u00e9gies pour inviter les jeunes et vieux \u00e0 venir se former ; inventer une mani\u00e8re d\u2019appeler, car s\u2019arr\u00eater trois ou six mois pour se former dans un domaine religieux n\u2019est pas chose facile dans la conception africaine surtout pour la personne qui ne porte pas la question de la vie religieuse. Nous comptons sur la gr\u00e2ce du Seigneur et les pri\u00e8res de tous.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tib\u00e9riade Discipleship School <\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

HISTORY OF THE PLACE, VISION AND OUTLOOK<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tib\u00e9riade is one of the three places where the Chemin Neuf Community lives in Ivory Coast. This heavenly place, with its beautiful vegetation and surrounding waters, is located on the coast, not far from the town of Grand-Lahou, which is 130 km from Abidjan. The town of Grand-Lahou itself is bounded to the north by the municipality of Guitry, to the west by the municipality of Fresco, to the east by the municipalities of Dabou and Jacqueville and to the south by the Atlantic Ocean and the Tagba lagoon, the area where Tiberiade is located. The Chemin Neuf community was given the site at Pentecost 1998 with the idea of opening an international formation centre in Africa, and the first cycle A began in 1999.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Several cohorts have taken part in this three-month training course: theological and biblical formation, prayer life and fraternal life. Due to a lack of ressources, this training centre took a two-year break from 2021 to 2023. It reopened in September last year with a new community team and five young people in training. This year, 2024, Tib\u00e9riade is continuing its training with a new feature, a first in its history: cycle C. Participants in the Tiberias Discipleship School will present a first part in three months (cycle A) and a second part also in three months (cycle C). This year, there are 18 participants for the first part, of 9 nationalities: Burkinabe, Burundian, Congolese, French, Ivorian, Madagascan, Chadian, Ugandan and Rwandan. The participants were welcomed during the week of 23 to 30 September, and the training itself began on 02 October. A typical week at Tib\u00e9riade is punctuated by different moments of life together: prayer time in the morning, at midday and in the evening; teaching time, meals, work, relaxation and, on weekends, for those who want to, a little trip to the surrounding villages: Liboli, Tioko, etc. Individual space is also given to explore what the Lord is putting in each person’s heart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following the two-year break, Tib\u00e9riade is once again in a sort of \u2018foundation\u2019 phase: a new team, a new vision, a new approach with the neighbouring villages, a new perspective. The vision for today is to form \u2018Disciples following Christ\u2019 in communion with the universal Church and the community way of doing things; and to give an African touch to the teachings given, to the fraternal life with the \u2018Ubuntu\u2019 formula for example. There is also the concern to make known, to share and to put in common the cultures of each of the participants so that finally all benefit from an integral formation which the world needs so much nowadays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In order to promote unity in diversity, while preserving our differences, the way forward would be to find strategies to invite young and old to come and be trained; to invent a way of calling, because stopping for three or six months to be trained in a religious field is not an easy thing in Africa, especially for someone who is not familiar with religious life. We are counting on the Lord’s grace and everyone’s prayers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
