In C\u00f4te d’Ivoire, many young working women live in extremely precarious conditions. Low incomes, substandard or non-existent housing, exposure to violence and exploitation\u2026 Their daily lives are often marked by insecurity and uncertainty. It is against this backdrop that the Chemin Neuf Community in C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire is launching an ambitious and hopeful project: the creation of a shelter for 200 young working women in Bimbresso.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/div>\n\n\n\n
Bimbresso is a neighbourhood located in the municipality of Yopougon, in north-west Abidjan.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
Both an expanding urban area and a neighbourhood with a strong traditional identity, Bimbresso is characterised by its dynamic population growth and its proximity to Yopougon\u2019s major business districts. The neighbourhood is currently experiencing rapid growth, with many families and young workers moving in, whilst retaining a relatively quiet atmosphere compared to the centre of the municipality. This strategic location, combining urbanisation with an accessible living environment, makes it a suitable place for social projects, particularly in terms of housing and support for vulnerable groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A residential home project led by the Chemin Neuf Community to help young women rebuild their lives and grow<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Chemin Neuf Community in C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire is launching an ambitious and hopeful project: the creation of a residential home for 200 working young women in Bimbresso.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This home will be more than just accommodation. It will be a genuine space for living, learning and personal transformation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The young women will find there:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A safe and dignified environment<\/li>\n\n\n\n
A balanced community life<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Human, psychological and spiritual support<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Practical training (sewing, hairdressing, cooking, IT, etc.)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Support for entering the workforce<\/li>\n\n\n\n
A path towards independence and responsibility<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
